Today i woke up a little late, its a wonderful feeling to nestle under the blanket in such cold weather.i brushed, ate and get dressed with in no time, then i rushed to the bus stop.Usually i have to wait there for along time to get a bus, but today a miracle has happened, "here comes a bus". i jumped in and took a seat. i thought something is wrong, such good things never happens, especially when you are in a hurry to get some where or you have no time. May be positions of the planets and signs of zodiac have changed, i thought, may be its going to be a good year from today. After some time, i realised there is some thing wrong with speed that we were going. Auto-rickshaws, scooters even some manually-powered vehicles like cycle-rickshaws were over-taking us.Everyone in the bus was looking at each other, someone screamed at the driver "Brother change the gear".He returned a rude look.Then we got a traffic red-light, we waited then it turned to green. Delhi is getting foggier each day.When people talk they remind me of those old trains running by coal,giving out smoke.People here are used to it, since i am new here its kind of amazing to me.People here are always in the mood for partying.My Xmas was OK, nothing eventful.we ate a lot of cakes.Now a days no one is interested in eating. It is kind of embarrassing to them to admit that they eat three times in a day.Today every girl wants to be Katrina Kaif and boys want to have six packs and that killer looks of Robert Pattinson.People go for the looks not for the contents.After all  who wouldn't like a little attention. There is a book fair going on here in 'Pragati Maidan'. i am thinking of going there but i am not sure if i could or not. i am a big fan of books.i am reading Chetan Bhagat's '2 states'currently. Even though i have seen film 3-idiots i never felt like reading his books. My sister(cousin), she give me this book called '3 mistakes of my life...

When the door bell rang i was startled. My cousin-sister opened the door. It was uncle's friend and his wife. She smiled looking at them and then gazed at the man's hand, like she was trying to find out what was he carrying?.They asked her about her study, she smiled. They moved into into the hall and sat on the sofa.They were middle aged couples. Me and my uncle sat facing them and my auntie and my cousin-sister sat on a sofa to their left side. We talked about a lot of things then he said he was considering to go to Kerala after retirement. Him and his wife both are from Kerala. They came here some 20 years ago. He said he wanted to lead a peaceful life after retirement in Kerala which is his home land. But the lady, his wife was not so amused by that thought. She didn't want to go back to Kerala. i feel very happy today, maybe every one feel like the way i feel or may be it's only me, i don't know. i think it's b'coz  Christmas is in the air. The mere thought of Santa brings joy, even though i am a Hindu i always did celebrate Christmas with family and with friends. In Kerala, where i am from, people celebrate each and every festival, doesn't matter what religion. Stars, Xmas carol, cakes, Santa every thing about Xmas is great. In southern parts of India winter is not so cold compare to northern parts and other European countries. There it's mostly windy and have a little cold in the morning at this time of year. Here in Delhi even though people celebrate Xmas the attitude of so called Delhiwallahas towards Christians are a bit awkward and weird. i think they are under the impression that almost all of the Christians here are converts. i don't know about all, but those who are living in my area, their idea is pretty much this, regardless of age. ...

Yesterday i went home feeling relieved that i don't have to go tomorrow and i could have a good sleep in this cold weather. 'Muharram' is suppose to be a holiday, i thought. After i got home i found a calmness and happiness in mind. i was listening to the FM radio and enjoying the tea with my cousins then suddenly the phone rang, it was for me from my boss, telling me to be there on Friday and told there was a meeting to attend, i thought "what the hell man?",my evening was ruined. Today like any other day i climbed on the bus and reached office in time.After half an hour the boss called saying, meeting is postponed and he is not coming b'coz not feeling very well. i thought "what an idea sirji", he doesn't need to come and the institution is even  working on a holiday, now that's dedication.

Yesterday when i got out of the office people crowded infront of the gate and the road was crowded with buses,cars, autorikshaws etc.at first i wondered if there was an explosion or something. i asked around,some have no idea what the fuzz was all about,some knew that someone important like a foreign minister was here. i couldn't learn what was it all about,then i decided to ask the polceman standing next to me.Suddenly  someone(an old man tired of standing) tried to pass the baricade made by the police, then he ran towards him to stop him and he seemed to scold the poor man.But we can't blame the policeman, he was only doing his duty.School kids were restless,they were talking about,how they are going to be late for todays cricket match. People waiting there in that bitter cold began to curse the man(the VIP) responsible. Yesterday my cousin sister said a serious matter to me . Since she is a kid she couldn't really see the depth of the matter. To her its just another incident in her school. What happened was that, some of the high school students in her school made improper comments about the students, who were from the north-eastern states, studying  in their school. She said their principal punished those rogues severely, but what haunts me is that they are just 15,16 years old and look at their mindset. Racism is the last thing we want in our educational institutions.If anything like this could happen in a school then what's the point of education?. Education doesn't mean acquiring degrees, it's only a part of it. The real purpose is character formation. If this is what our thoughts and character is shaping into, then its a shame. we can't blame the kids only, the society they live on always have an impact on their character formation. Yesterday i went to the temple of lord Ayyappa, along with my family.The rush inside was unbearable. Like any other place, everyone was in a hurry here. Some are pushing their way into the crowd. It seemed they want to get blessings before anyone else could, like it is some kind of stationery they can buy before it sold out.But of course some are genuine. Then some ,like myself go there by the intentions of seeing some old friends and of course beautiful girls. Actually its not our fault that we can't concentrate on praying. As these girls are passing by our eyes always follow them even if we are facing the idol of god. Then after that we drank some tea and get into the car. Don,t be under the impression that i  went to temple for some nonsense and to drink tea, but i did adjust to pray in between these nonsense. If u think i, what i did was nonsense then u have to see others who were there only with the intention of eating food the temple used to give as "Prasadam".

The moment i stepped out of my house, i found myself staring at a  bowelless world. i always wonder, that what if i can read peoples mind ?. The mere thought scared the hell out of me.Trust me on this u don't even want to consider the  possibility of reading others mind, mind is the most wretched thing. Oh , i strayed away from the topic, sorry and then  i saw a teenager passing by, busy in talking to her mobile phone. Her expressions tells who is she talking to, wait does her parents know about this?, i thought.But then again what the hell was i thinking?,what a butthead i was?,then i told myself wakeup dude, this is  the world u r in, run along.
