Life Is Not an Emergency

Sometimes I catch myself hurrying when there is absolutely no need to hurry. I walk fast inside the house. I eat as if someone is waiting to take the plate away. I finish one task while my mind has already started fighting with the next three. Then I stop and ask myself: What exactly am I late for? Most of the time, I have no answer. There is no train to catch, no flight waiting, and no one standing behind me with a stopwatch. Still, somewhere inside the mind, an alarm keeps ringing. It tells me to move faster, earn more, know more, finish everything and become someone important before time runs out. The funny thing is that nobody knows when this imaginary deadline was fixed. The Clock Inside Our Head Life gives us many clocks. There is a clock for education, another for a job, one for marriage, one for buying a house, and probably one for looking successful while doing all of it. If somebody younger reaches a place before us, the clock suddenly becomes louder. We look at another perso...

contemplating our existence in this world

As I gaze up at the stars, I can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The universe is so vast, so mysterious... and I'm just a small part of it. It's a humbling realization, one that makes me pause and reflect on my own existence. What am I, really? A tiny speck in the grand scheme of things? A fleeting moment in the annals of time? I think about Carl Sagan's words, 'The universe is not only much stranger than we think, it is stranger than we can think.' It's a reminder that there's so much more to life than what we can see and touch. As I stand here, lost in the vastness of the universe, I feel a sense of gratitude for what  I've been given. It's a reminder to live each day with intention, purpose, and appreciation for the time I have.

Ascending thoughts

Every thought is like dough; you have only to knead it well; you can make anything you like out of it  — Ivan Turgenev 8th February,  was a special day for me, a very pleasant day indeed. After a long time, 3 years to be exact, I am going to meet my friend. The news itself  made me frenzy but  in a good way. For a guy like me, who had been re-planted to a city which is more than 3000 kms  far from  home , is as auspicious  as Deepawali or Holi would be the day when my friend visits me. Long distance, different language , change in tradition & culture, all this had exhausted me. The news of my friend's visit fell on my ears like vibrant  " Qawwali" music. I could feel an upsurge of emotion, blood gushing through my veins. Bottled memories has been opened & the genie is out. I was about to meet him at the Patel Chawk metro station, which is roughly 15 minutes away from where I res...

What's happening?

We are living in a world of hatred. Don't raise your eyebrows when i say this, yes, i am right and i know what i am saying. Indian sub-Continent the land of unity in diversity, and the cradle of one of the oldest and greatest civilization in the world. This is the land which gave the world "Upanishads", the ocean of philosophical thoughts that you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else. It is here, great men like "Buddha", "Asoka", "Vivekananda", "Tagore", and "Gandhiji" once walked. But still we haven't changed, even if we changed that was only just for a small time after that we went back to the state we were then. Is it only our problem? or are the entire human race like this? It seems we have only civilised in our outer surface, inside our thoughts are rotten and wretched. As our technology is skyrocketing our thoughts are running backwards. We call our selves civilised and yet haven't shown any sign of ...

Why do we think our prayers are not answered ?

90% of the population think like that. Is there any truth in it?. The whole question is relevant only if you believe, so for the sake of answering the question let's assume everyone is a believer. Most of them go to churches or temples everyday. But if you believe your prayers are not answered, then its simple logic that, definitely some thing is missing. Is it your fault or God's ? What am i saying? God can never be wrong or bad, he is all love, so it have to be our fault. If its our fault, then what is the fault?. This is the point were people turn into sacrificing and other non-sense, like almighty is some kind of degenerate who gets pleasure from these things. They never rethink their prayers. Do you prayed for yourself or other fellow beings?. What an absurdity, how can any one pray for others?. We pray so that our bad doings, difficulties and problems(mainly money) should be excused. In "Upanishads" they say "one should pray or work with out looking for...

Thoughts

Thoughts are like air, like water, it freely flows from one to another. You could say that thoughts are open-source. Thought can be in any dimensions like in plain, 2D, 3D etc.. You can interpret any thing in this format. once a thought exits from your mind, its free, any one can make changes to it, can append anything to it. Thoughts sow the seeds for all great ideas. Behind every inventions, every findings there is a thought which sowed the idea. Through thoughts people could connect. Thoughts make us humans. Thoughts are like waves, its all around us. only thing we have to do is to make our mind ready to perceive it. Thoughts make people different. Different people, like Hitler and Tolstoy, what made them different? it was definitely their thoughts, no doubt about that. Books and other media help in propagating thoughts. Good or bad, brilliant or non-sense thoughts are what makes us different from other animals.

Just thoughts

Delhi is getting foggier each day. When people talk they remind me of those old trains running by coal, giving out smoke.People here are used to it, since i am new here its kind of amazing to me.People here are always in the mood for partying. My Xmas was OK, nothing eventful.we ate a lot of cakes. Now a days no one is interested in eating. It is kind of embarrassing to them to admit that they eat three times in a day.Today every girl wants to be Katrina Kaif and boys want to have six packs and that killer looks of Robert Pattinson.People go for the looks not for the contents. After all  who wouldn't like a little attention.
