India's Satellite "NAVIC"ation system

Satellite navigation is not new. We use it all the time in our smart phones and cars. We are all well versed with GPS(Global Positioning Satellite) which is the most widely used SATNAV(Satellite Navigation) right now. SATNAV uses a group of satellites, at least 4, to calculate the position of an electronic receiver placed in an object, be it a phone or a vehicle, by using the radio signals transmitted from the satellite. On April 28 th , Thursday afternoon India has successfully launched its 7 th navigation satellite, IRNSS-1G (Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System) successfully to its orbit. And of course, it is obviously been launched by ISRO's world renowned, trust worthy PSLV(Polar Satellite Launch vehicle) . It was PSLVs 34 th flight. It will be put in its orbit in the coming days. The name given to the mission's PSLV and SATNAV series were like this PSLV-C31, PSLV-C32, PSLV-C33 IRNSS-1A ,..........., IRNSS-1E(5 th sate...

You don't have a say in my body

I am writing this for my friend and I don't know what it makes me? a good friend or a male chauvinist. Either way I really don't care.  She is a strong individual, perhaps the strongest I've ever encountered. She is the only person in my boring office life whom I would call a great friend. She is a great individual. But today she seems a little off the mark. She is lost in thinking. Thinking and be content is not her style. Usually she has lots of things to say. She never go short of topics to discuss. She always find something, anything to say.  She asked "Do you think I am putting on weight?, I think I'm fat." "Why would you ask?" I asked "Nothing, yesterday we friends have a conversation at lunch and they said I m kinda fat but not exactly. I don't understand. But after that, I m a bit sad." I smiled at her. "It's a big thing for us, you wouldn't know" she said to me. I couldn't believe a lad...

The Good Vibration

He was a good man. He did a lot of good deeds during his short life span. He was always happy even though he was financially a big zero. He had the gift of spreading happiness all around. He radiates positivity and happiness. He was kind to humans and animals alike. “His death was a blow to humanity” people said. “God always call back those who are close to his heart”, they say. He donated his organs, for the good of humanity and science. Today, that man is going up in flames in front of those, whom he shared the lion share of his life. He gained his consciousness. Its pure white everywhere, he was stunned, where is this place? “You are with me”, a voice whispered in his ears. He looked around, no one was there. "From I the entire universe has been born", it said. GOD?  why can’t I see you? B'coz I am just a vibration or oscillation or you can call me consciousness. You can only feel me. Life of a KID

Lives of kids are simple. They are like butterflies, colourful and beautiful. Being a child is the closest you can get in your entire life to total Freedom. But sometimes their emotions too can take complex form. But when they do, then adults will be helpless as their emotions outstrip all logic and sense in this world. Its such a story. There were two kids, a little girl named Chandra and a boy named Adi. Both are of same age and in the same school. They were friends. Their love for each other is cute and fresh, like morning dew, unlike the elder people with prejudices and conditions. That day was Chandra's birthday, she dressed like an angel. Everybody loved her. Her smile lightens the night, just like the moon. Watching her smile is a divine experience. He too was there, to wish her a “haaapy bithday” . Adi give her a wide smile. Then they both ran to the gift table to open the packs she was getting. She got lots of gifts. One by one they started to open the gifts. B...

Friends

a micro memoir "I don't think I can come, guys. You carry on" I didn't think I could do it. Being a lazy man by birth I prefer the status quo, unless and until compelled strongly otherwise. My friends are all going to be there in Goa, but not me. I lost sleep over it, "should I go or not". I realize how lazy and pathetic I am, Can't even deal with such a silly thing. At last I've been made to decide against my crazy-lazy mind, by my friends. I packed for Goa and boarded on train from New Delhi to Goa. I hate to sit for a long time and that is the reason why I hate train journey. My journey wasn't much fun, that my friends is the side effect of being an introvert. I was still in the belief that this is a mistake, to take this trip.  It took a full day and a night to reach there. The air of Goa started to take its toll on me. The climate was hot & humid and yet I felt like I was home. My friends called me and gave the direction a...

A Beautiful Day

It was just like any other day. Life was withering out shuttling between office and home. Every day I start with thinking to do something diferent, crazy, but status quo prevails.I can feel the emptiness of the routine chores. Life has become so mechanised that I couldn't even enjoy the simple delights, life can offer. Tension & stress has become natural state of mind, calmness and peace have become visitors. It was a fine morning, I was off to office just like any other day. I took a good look around. People were still jogging inside the park. Trees and shrubs were fresh as dew. Squirells running around the footpath. Birds were making loud noises, as if we humans were not the only one, they too were busy on a morning. Nature was beautiful and fantastic as ever. No one could match her beauty. I have to walk to reach metro station. Somebody called my name fom across the road, It was Dev. I waved at him and signalled at my watch that I m already late for ...
