Satellite navigation is not new. We use it all the time in our smart phones and cars. We are all well versed with GPS(Global Positioning Satellite) which is the most widely used SATNAV(Satellite Navigation) right now. SATNAV uses a group of satellites, at least 4, to calculate the position of an electronic receiver placed in an object, be it a phone or a vehicle, by using the radio signals transmitted from the satellite. On April 28 th , Thursday afternoon India has successfully launched its 7 th navigation satellite, IRNSS-1G (Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System) successfully to its orbit. And of course, it is obviously been launched by ISRO's world renowned, trust worthy PSLV(Polar Satellite Launch vehicle) . It was PSLVs 34 th flight. It will be put in its orbit in the coming days.
