Why are we like this?

People were busy fighting over an Anti-Islam movie  for the past week. So many have died and mortally injured in the protest, reminding some kind of revolution. The question that pops up in my mind is "for what?" actualy it shoud be other awy around "for what not?" Some dumb jerk made some movie which instigated violence, may be he is a sadist or he may have some other reasons like political or religious. And for this foolishness people are losing their lives in some unrelated countries. You may think that "Where are u living man? they are all belong to same religion and thats the relation". But any person their right mind would agree with me that these people of the so called same religion are the ones fighting and countering it in their own countries. The most interesting thing is that such issues often get public interest as something of great importance, even worthy of dying.                 ...

India: A bleak future ahead ?

For the last few months anarchy and confusion is ruling our country, sectarian fights, communal riots, honour(pseudo-honour) killing, you name it and we have it over here in India. CAG, the whistleblower, tabled a storming report in rajyasabha about discrepencies in coal allocation, which was directly under Mr. Manmohan Singh, so much for his well-knit image. Assam and Allahabad is burning. Exodus, bigger than at the time of 'Moses' is happening. Government is failing, People of this democracy is failing. India's persona of 'unity in diversity' is falling off. We have become a bunch of intolerant, abusive barbarians. For eg. if we take Assamese, their exodus is a big concern, eventhough Govt says all these were rumours, which have been uploaded online from Pakistan, these people have good reason to be feared. There is a feeling of alienation in the air for quite long time. If this condition prevails India will be no better than poorer African and other east ...

Our Future lies in the heaven

Our technology have enabled us to do many things that were once perceived merely as science fictions.  One more recent addition to this list is the mining of extraterrestrial bodies, like our moon and asteroids  for resources. "Planetary Resources" is one such company who are focussed on to open their realm of  real estate to solar system. The probability of success cannot be predicted clearly right now as it is in its  childhood.  All asteroids coming towards us not necessarly possess a threat, instead we can now exploit the vast  deposit of rareearths and other natural resources distributed in their surface. Asteroids are a vast  source of such resources as they interact with many extraterrestrial bodies in their journey through  space. Why is it easy to extract from asteroids? b'coz it is small and unlike earth or other planets its  gravity field is low. We know we, humans were searching for planet like others which is in...

Youth and Politics

Our political system is crippling and burdened with over aged hypocrites. I honestly believe our politics  need a revamp. Don’t you think present is ruled and governed by the ghosts of past. There is big difference in past and present  social values.  Don’t get me wrong, when i colloquially put it as older people coz you might think i am some kind of Nazi. When i say older, i meant our over-the-hill politicians, you can say they have experience and all, but right now what we need most is not experienced minds but bold minds who can accept the change happening around and those who are willing to break free from the old traditional format. The average age of our Parliament is over 60 years. How many leaders are there in our parliament who are not from a well-off and don’t have a criminal background. Most of our politicians and executives for that matter are sycophants. Being rhetoric and sycophancy are the trademarks of most of our statesmen. This sycophantic behaviour de...

Hate speech

i think super moon had its toll on me. After seeing it i had a gargantuan mood swing, for no particular reason i began to hate the entire human kind (including myself), i think it made me high.  i am full of hatred now, i feel like a super villain who wants to destroy humans. i feel like a werewolf who want to attack and tear off everything that is human. A little while ago i adored being a human with all its complex relationships and multifariousness, both physically and mentally. But now i think its all sleazy, yes thats it, i hate our kind for all its glory and wickedness. If there is a rebirth i wish to reborn as anything that is not human. i have had enough of this bullshit. We are liars, fools, wickedness is our trademark, we don’t love anyone but self. We kill each other and other living creatures. Does it end there? no, we again kill for fun and entertainment. We destroyed the balance of nature. We made extinct many creatures. Do we feel anything for those who were exti...

“Thrissur Pooram” festival of festivals

Guys, you want to see heaven on earth? music at its culmination? elephants, the magnificent beasts at its mighty? the biggest orchestration on earth?  come to “God’s own country”. Today is an auspicious day for us coz today is our prestigious “ Thrissur Pooram ”(Pooram means festival and Thrissur is a district in Kerala), the grandest festival because of its finery and orchestration. i don’t know how many Indians outside Kerala know about this, but its time for everyone to get a taste of this  extravaganza. This is not all, the best part is at the culmination of festival when the fireworks begin, its a view worth watching. Fireworks will last for 3 hours with out a pause. At the end the entire city will be raining debris from fireworks. You must see the “Panthal”, we have a Guinness record for the biggest one ever built. Another highlight is the showcase of umbrellas(called “Kudamattam”, Kuda=umbrella, mattam=change) mounted on elephants. People from  countries like Ger...

“Rape Culture”

We Indians are always been proud of our great culture. In our eyes every one else is inferior. But recently our capital city has become a shining beacon of our new emerging culture, “Rape Culture”, i don’t know whether you can call it even a culture. As New Delhi is our capital any smear on its reputation affects the entire nation. In a rape culture, women are stamped down by the fear of being raped. This is an extremist side of our patriarchal culture. In this type of culture women who got raped become the culprits, society wouldn’t sympathize with victims, rather they would argue that those women asked for it. The only purpose is to make women subordinate to men by the fear of rape. This type of attitude was prevalent in India for years, as it is the side effect of our Patriarchal society. Even though in our culture rape has been considered brutal and inhumane, because of our male dominant system rape was common. Some times we don’t even take rape seriously as rape is considered as...
